 With all of the new technologies we use, it’s easy to forget that even in our technologically advanced world, the injury still happens. In fact, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), infant walkers are some of the most dangerous products in use today. A new study published in the journal Pediatrics in June looked at the number of injuries sustained by children under age 6 who were injured while in or using a walker.  Dr. Gary Smith, founder, and director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy, of the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and his team looked at baby walker–related injuries across the United States and found that about 230,000 children were treated in the ER during that time period.
